Macclesfield Town 0 Nuneaton Town 1
Moss Rose… Saturday March 21st… 3pm
Attendance: 1,514
A little bit of background. I travelled up to Manchester to watch Newcastle at the Etihad a few weeks ago, noticed that the train stopped at Macclesfield on the way, noted for future reference. So here I was, a few weeks later, attending my first Nuneaton Town away game, and I certainly think that I picked the right day for it…
A first trip to Moss Rose too, another ground to add to the list. Impressions, neat and tidy, with a fantastic view of the surrounding countryside from the visitor’s enclosure. I loved the charity scarf / shirt display too, made a change from advertising hoardings…
Most importantly, an absolutely vital three points…
The game; few real chances for either side, Nuneaton edged the first half, Macclesfield the second. Stoppage time arrived and the game appeared to be heading towards a stalemate before second half substitute Onome Sodje struck…
So, another game undefeated and another clean sheet. Maybe…Just maybe…?
