Ticket: £14 – Programme: £3 (Double Issue Lincoln / Dover)
The final leg of a busy football watching weekend…
A 340 mile round trip to Swansea on Saturday, followed by an 80 mile round trip to Nottingham on Sunday. Ironic then that a six mile round trip to Nuneaton tonight should serve up the best game of the three by far…
Warming Up…
Nuneaton raced into a 2-0 lead through goals from Onome Sodje (on his debut) and James Armson (an absolute screamer), only to be pegged back to 2-1 before half-time. In the second-half Dover brought the game back to 2-2, Nuneaton’s attempts to hold on to what they had failing rather quickly. Instead of folding however, having soaked up some pressure, Nuneaton rallied and Connor Franklin headed a third goal in the 77th minute for a much needed 3-2 victory…
Second Half Action…
And the best thing about tonight? Even better than the win? I was back home within 45 minutes of the final whistle…
