07.03.2015… Carlisle v Exeter…

Carlisle United 1 Exeter City 3

Brunton Park… Saturday March 7th… 3pm

Attendance: 3,724

Ticket: £16 – Programme: £2

My second trip of the season to Brunton Park, a less satisfactory outcome than the first…

Exeter won fairly comfortably, going 2-1 up at the beginning of the second half and never really looking in any danger of surrendering their lead, confirming the inevitable in the final minute…

It’s a defeat that leaves Carlisle far from safe. In fact, on this showing, it’s a distinct possibility that I could be watching them play Gateshead next season…

Before the Game…

Discovered quite by chance that Exeter City are owned by their supporters through the Exeter City Supporters Trust. In a world of Roman Abramovichs and Sheikh Mansours it makes a pleasant change; all of the fans who travelled to Carlisle on Saturday received a letter thanking them for their support, some bigger clubs could certainly learn a thing or two…
